20-yr-old student arrested for conniving with his friends to kill stepmom over money
A 20-year-old student, Ekenedilichukwu Okeke, has narrated how he connived with his friends to kill his stepmom for refusing to give him N1million for school feesl
He was among the 20 suspects paraded by the Anambra State CP, Echeng Echeng, on Friday in Awka the state capital
Okeke had on September 28, 2022, in company with his gang members killed his stepmom, one Mrs. Theresa Okeke, 54, an accountant with the National Population Commission, Awka
Speaking to Newsmen, he said: “I had problem with my stepmom and I wanted her to give me N1m, but she said no. After some time, I pleaded with her and she agreed to give me. I wanted her to give me the money to pay my school fees
I had to arrange for some of my friends to come and help me to extract the money from her. They came at night tied her hands and leg to force her to give me the money, but in the process, she stopped talking. Before we knew it, she was dead.”
