Edo entertainment: Pikolo to restore glory days

ALL may not yet be Uhuru for entertainers in Edo State but plans are in top gear to improve their welfare as indigenous entertainers in the State has lots to smile for in the nearest future whilst pioneers and stakeholders has resolved to bring back the good old days.
It is no longer news that in the recent time, Lagos State is now the hub of entertainment in Nigeria having knock Edo off the perch owing to the logical truth that most of the facilities used for quality productions are domiciled there perhaps as well, most of the top artists takes their roots to achieve a baseline in their entertainment career.
But today, one man would call it a bluff and totally disagree with this believe and conception having work so hard in talent hunt in Benin City to reverse this unacceptable trends. He is Comrade Daniel Erhunmusele fondly regarded as Pikolo by his admirers.
At the prestige hotel Benin City, Pikolo took his willingness to bear in a roundtable conference on a theme; Promoting Local and Indigenous Entertainers where some of the challenges were identified to restore the past glory of the State as the genuine hub of Entertainment in Nigeria.

While addressing the participants, Mr Pikolo was straightforward in his judgment on how Edo State has lost its seat as frontier in cultural and entertainment Estimations.”Edo State use to be the hub of entertainment in Nigeria, what has suddenly changed this? Can we seat and watch this continue? The answer is No. I have resolved that I will use this medium to know where it all went wrong and to find a way forward. These are some of the reasons why we call up this forum to discuss some of the challenges and how to move the entertainment forward,” he remarked.
