IGP constitutes Force management team
…announces new DIGs
Following the retirement of several Assistant Inspector General of Police and the appointment of new Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG), the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, has constituted the Force Management Team.
The formation of the Force Management came two weeks after the appointment of the IGP and is sequel to the promotion of some senior officers to the rank of Deputy Inspectors-General of Police.
The breakdown indicates that the newly promoted Deputy Inspectors-General of Police, DIG Shuaibu Gambo, now heads the Department of Finance and Administration.
While DIG Joshak Habila is now in charge the Department of Operations, DIG Maigari Abatti Dikko is to head, the Department of Logistics and Supply.

Similarly, the Department of Criminal Intelligence and Investigations is now headed by DIG H. M. Dagala while DIG Emmanuel T. Inyang takes charge of the Department of Training and Development.
According to a statement by the police spokesperson, DCP Don Awunah in Abuja added that the Department of Research and Planning is now under the leadership of DIG Ntom Chukwu.
DIG Foluso Adebanjo is in charge the Department of Information and Communication Technology and AIG Abdul Bube is now the Force Secretary.
While congratulating the newly promoted officers, the Inspector-General of Police, enjoined them to see their promotion as a national call to duty that requires utmost loyalty and sincerity to the nation and people of Nigeria, directing them to report immediately to their new areas of responsibilities.
