2023: Tambuwal beats Atiku, Saraki to seeking PDP ticket
While the presidential wannabes in the PDP are busy consulting far and wide, Sokoto Gov. Aminu Tambuwal has one-upped them to declare his presidential ambition.
Tambuwal made the announcement Monday evening after a stakeholders’ meeting in Sokoto.
He’s the first among the major PDP aspirants to declare for the 2023 presidential race.
Former V.P Atiku Abubakar, former Sen. President Bukola Saraki, and Bauchi Gov. Bala Moammed hve their eyes on the ticket, too, though are consulting now.
The former Speaker promised to fix the problems Nigeria faces, boasting of his good leadership with no corruption charges.
This is the second time he will be gunning for the party ticket. He lost to Atiku in the 2019 PDP presidential primary.
