2023: Why Melaye indicted Fayose as an APC secret weapon in the PDP
Ahead of the 2023 Presidential Election, a Former Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Senator Dino Melaye has reacted to an Allegation by Ex-Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) decision to throw open it’s Presidential Ticket was meant to favour the North ahead of the South.
Fayose further criticized Two Prominent PDP Presidential Aspirants, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Dr. Bukola Saraki claiming that they were responsible for the Party’s Defeat in 2015 because they Decamped to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and conspired against the PDP.
Melaye who is a staunch loyalist of Atiku described Fayose as a Presidential Gambler who is trying to distract the Two Serious Contenders, He further called on the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Leadership to call the Ex-Governor to order. Speaking further, Melaye who reacted to the Viral Video where Fayose was seen eating Amala at a popular Restaurants in Abuja shortly after he obtained his Expression of Intrest and Nomination Forms at the PDP National Secretariat said Presidency is a serious Business which is beyond eating a local dish.
Speaking further, Melaye alleged that Fayose was trying to de-market Top Contenders in the PDP to brighten the chances of his politcal godfather in the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). He concluded that the aim of the party is present a sellable and popular Candidate who can win the forthcoming Presidential Election not Zoning Agenda.
