Illegal or illicit drugs such as heroin, cocaine, amphetamines may cause short term ecstasy and after sometime of taking them cause irreparable damage to the organs in the body such the kidneys, liver, heart and even the brain. So it is important for you to be wary of the kind of substances you take for the sake of your body and organs.
2. Alcohol – as normal and common as this substance may seem, it can hurt the kidneys and even the liver if taken carelessly. Studies have shown that, taking more than two or three bottles of alcoholic beverages may put a person at risk of kidney damage after sometime. So it is not out of place to include it in the kidney Damaging substances one should not abuse.
3. Antibiotics – are supposed to be medications that help the body combat ailments but since they pass through the kidneys before being ingested or assimilated by the body, there is need for one to be careful with how he or she takes antibiotics. Taking excess antibiotics can cause kidney damage and the only way to avert this from happening is by not taking any medication without doctor’s prescription and go-ahead.
