60-year-old woman arrested for advising her 18-year-old daughter to kill her newborn baby
An 18-year-old lady, Ada Joy Okonkwo, and her mother, Christiana Okonkwo, 60, have been arrested by police operatives in Enugu State in connection with the murder of a newborn male child.
It is reported that the incident happened at Olocha-Adogba in Awgu community of the state on November 7.
According to a statement by the spokesperson of the state police command, DSP Daniel Ndukwe, says preliminary investigation shows that the said mother of the newborn child used a kitchen knife to stab the child to death, following the counseling of her mother, moments after she was delivered of the baby at home.
