APC to dissolve factions loyal to Saraki
Information Minister Lai Mohammed has anounced the ruling APC plan to dissolve the factions of the party loyal to Senate President Bukola Saraki in the state.
He further urged those loyalists to either resign federal government appointments or risk being sacked.
Mohammed said this at a press conference in Oro, his hometown in Irepodun local government area of Kwara state.
According to him, it is unacceptable that members of the party who chose to remain in the party would not benefit from the government, while those who have defected to other political parties still hold on to their appointment of a party.
“For six members of house of representatives to decamp from All Progressives Congress in Kwara state, to other political parties,we don’t need a rocket science to know, that all of them are no longer with us,” he said.
“They cannot continue to enjoy the political appointment of a party they have dumped, while those who are our genuine members still in the party don’t have such benefits.”
He said the decision to dissolve the faction loyal to Saraki was reached after wide consultations with all the stakeholders in the state
