Revealed: ADC founder Nwosu accuses Kachikwu of paid coalition sabotage
The founder of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Ralph Nwosu, has publicly accused the party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Dumebi Kachikwu, of being a “key figure used to sabotage the party’s coalition efforts”. Speaking in an interview on ARISE Television, Nwosu confirmed Kachikwu’s expulsion from the party, stating firmly that “the ADC no longer wants anything to do with him”.
Nwosu alleged that Kachikwu “had been receiving funding from various sources and channeling it into efforts aimed at destabilizing the coalition”.
He elaborated, “We had the ADL, organized by our NEC, and we recalled everyone involved.
During our NEC meeting yesterday, we forgave them all. But as for Dumebi Kachikwu, we decided that he is no longer welcome in the party.
He’s been the primary agent receiving funds from everywhere and using them to derail our coalition consolidation process,”.
Expressing his dissatisfaction with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Nwosu claimed that “instead of engaging in a fair political contest, some individuals within the APC were actively working to undermine the ADC’s coalition”.

He stated, “Some in the APC think if they offer something and it’s rejected, they just raise the stakes… But this time, they didn’t succeed,”.
Highlighting the party’s rising popularity despite these challenges, Nwosu revealed that the ADC’s online membership registration had grown so rapidly that their system had to be “moved to an international server”.
He shared, “Babachir Lawal reached out to me asking for 2.5 million membership cards just for the Northeast. Just two weeks ago, they had only purchased 500. Our website crashed twice due to traffic, and we had to migrate it to Amazon’s high-capacity servers,”.
