How ‘looters’ salvaging items from burning supermarket stacked up ‘loot’
While it was initially reported, based on trending videos, that looters invaded Next Cash and Carry Supermarket that went up in flame Sunday morning, it has now been confirmed the locals from the Kado area of Abuja in the videos were good neighbours.
According to the latest report, as the fire raged, the locals decided to help the supermarket saved what they could.
They rushed in their grabbing items and dumping them in a huge pile somewhere safe.
Photos of the salvaged merchandise have again started trending online.
Police and firefighters in three trucks arrived the scene, and kept battling the fire and ensuring safety.
No casualty report so far.
