Customs officers assault lawyer
A video circulating on social media appears to show some officers of the Nigeria Customs Service manhandling a lawyer who accompanied his client to resolve an issue with the service over an impounded vehicle.
It was learnt that the lawyer informed the Service of the illegality of their action in impounding his client’s car.
This reportedly angered the Customs Officers who directed that he be manhandled and detained.
In the viral video, the lawyer can be seen struggling with some officers who were trying to forcefully remove him from their office while he attempted to resist the physical intimidation of the officers by informing them of the illegality of their actions.
