English Premier League side Arsenal has reportedly had a verbal agreement with Ajax Amsterdam for the potential transfer of Jurrien Timber to the Emirates. Both teams have agreed on a transfer fee of £40 million including add-ons for the defender. Recall that the Londoner made an improved offer highly-rated Dutch defender a few days ago after their initial £30 million bid was rejected last week.

Arsenal’s other priorities, Kai Havertz and Declan Rice were secured over the last few moments as Mikel Arteta looks to finalize the club’s major deals in advance of pre-season, which is set to start next week.

Elsewhere, Manchester United have also reached an agreement with fellow Premier League side, Chelsea for the potential move of Mason Mount to Old Trafford this summer. According to reports, a deal worth £60 million including add-ons was agreed upon earlier on Thursday after both clubs had a physical meeting. The English midfielder is expected to have his medical after this weekend to finalize the transfer.
