Nigerians slam Wike over ministerial nomination
Some Nigerians have taken to the social media platforms to slam former Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State over his ministerial nomination by President Bola Tinubu.
Those slamming the former Rivers State governor recalled a video clip of Wike during the 2023 electioneering campaign crisis in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), where he vowed that he will not be a minister, having noted that only one person can be a minister from Rivers State.
The former Governor had asserted that he is not a liability to Rivers State.
Former Governor Wike, now a ministerial nominee awaiting screening and confirmation by the senate, in a trending video, declared: “I’m not a liability to Rivers State. Only one person can be minister from the state. I will not be a minister; I will not, I will not!”
Meanwhile, Wike is currently the only one person from Rivers State that is becoming a minister in the Tinubu administration.
Those who scold the former governor on his nomination, abused him in diverse vulgar slogans.
However, there are still some others who support the ministerial nomination of Wike, and they congratulated him.
