Argentina National team to train at Real Madrid’s home ground
The Argentine team, led by Lionel Messi, will start training next Monday at the Real Madrid Sports City in Valdebebas and will hold five sessions in four days before the friendly match on Friday, March 22 against Venezuela, which will be played in the Wanda Metropolitan.
It is not the first time that Messi trains at Real Madrid’s home, since, although he did not play, Argentina also trained in Valdebebas in March 2018 before the friendly against Spain.
The Association of Argentine Football (AFA) reported on Wednesday, through its website, the schedule of the albiceleste, whose first training will be on Monday 18 at 17.30 in Spain (16.30 GMT).
Tuesday will be the only day of the week that there will be a double shift. The morning training will start at 10.30 and the evening will be at 17.30. Once finished, two players will talk to the media.
On Wednesday and Thursday they will practice again in the morning at the same time as on Tuesday.
Lionel Scaloni, Argentina coach, will give a press conference after the training session on Thursday.
Argentina and Venezuela will play on Friday, March 22, a friendly match at the Atlético de Madrid stadium, the Wanda Metropolitano, at 9:00 p.m. in Spain.
This match will mark the return to the Argentine national team of Messi, whose last participation with the Argentine shirt was on June 30, when the albicelete was eliminated by France (4-3) in the round of 16 of the World Cup in Russia.
The next match of Argentina will be against Morocco on March 26 in Tangier.
These two friendlies are the last official matches scheduled before the Copa América of Brazil, which will be played from June 14 to July 7.
