A welder rapes sister-in-law in Lagos

A 35-year-old man, Mathew Akpan of Oron community, Akwa Ibom State, has been arrested for allegedly defiling a 15-year old girl.
The victim who was said to have been living with the suspect for the past 10 years, according the Lagos State Police Commissioner, Fatai Owoseni, subjected her to series of sexual torture since when she was five years old.
It was gathered that when she returned from child dedication party in the evening, Akpan invited the young girl into his bedroom and forcefully had carnal knowledge of her.

It was further gathered that the suspect, a welder and claimed to reside in Obalande area, of Lagos State in an interview told National Daily that his offence was an act of the devil.
According to him, “I was drunk on that faithful day to the extent that I didn’t know when I had sex with her. It is the handiwork of the devil,” he apologised
