Nollywood actor, Sylvester Madu, has been reportedly detained by police operatives in Bamenda, Cameroon.
The actor was arrested alongside four others over the fatal shooting of four people at a beer parlour on Saturday, November 23, 2023.
It was gathered that some unidentified gunmen stormed the lounge where Madu was hanging out with a few others around 10 pm on Saturday.
The attack claimed the lives of four people and left over 10 with serious injuries.
According to multiple reports, the actor who was rescued by military personnel, was however detained after he insisted that the four civilians who were also rescued be released.
“He is currently in detention and has been sent to court. He refused to leave the four civilians that were also rescued behind. He came to Cameroon to shoot a movie,” a source said.
