The President of the Nigerian Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, has congratulated the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno, on his 62nd birthday, describing him as a leader guided by divine grace and quiet but purposeful strength.
In a personally signed goodwill message, Akpabio praised the governor’s leadership style and highlighted what he called the growing impact of the ARISE Agenda, the administration’s development blueprint focused on key sectors of the state economy.
According to him, the initiative has moved beyond policy formulation to tangible outcomes across agriculture, rural development, infrastructure, security, and social empowerment, which he said have contributed to renewed optimism among residents.
“Your Excellency and my brother, Pastor Umo Eno, on behalf of my family, the good people of Akwa Ibom North West Senatorial District, the 10th Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the National Assembly, I extend my warmest felicitations on your 62nd birthday,” Akpabio stated.
He further described the governor as an embodiment of “the grace of God and the quiet strength of purposeful leadership,” adding that his administration has delivered visible progress in critical sectors.
Akpabio also commended what he termed Eno’s inclusive political approach, noting that his administration has reached across party lines to foster unity in governance. He said this approach has helped reduce political tension in the state and encouraged a more stable environment for development.

“By running an open, broad-based administration that embraces all Akwa Ibomites regardless of party or creed, you have lowered the political temperature in our state and fostered unity. That is statesmanship, and it is yielding peace as a foundation for progress, growth and opportunities,” he added.
The Senate President also pointed to ongoing developments in road infrastructure, healthcare delivery, support for small and medium-scale enterprises, and human capital development as signs of steady progress under the current administration.
He prayed for continued wisdom, good health, and strength for the governor as he continued in office, expressing hope that the state would sustain its development trajectory under his leadership.
The message was issued through Rt. Hon. Eseme Eyiboh, Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Senate President.
