Alex Iwobi reveals the reason for Eagles unbeaten run
By Boluwatife Ezekiel Olaleye
Arsenal forward, Alex Iwobi has revealed the reasons behind the fine form of the Super Eagles.
According to Iwobi, the team’s success is largely due to the tactical abilities of coach Gernot Rohr and also the unity in the team.
The young Arsenal playmaker told AOIFootball.com after Nigeria defeated Argentina that the team can only get better with more games next year.
He said, “As you can see, we played collectively in all the six games in the qualifiers; we fought together, the chemistry was good, and our tactics were spot-on all through the qualifiers.
“I must admit the qualifiers were a bit difficult, but I will say the underdog card propelled us to victory at the end of the day.
“We are not a one-man team. You can see the competition in the squad is so strong.
“It shows that we are not just about a few players, we are a very good side collectively and it stood out for us all through the qualifiers.
“The World Cup is still a couple of months away and I believe with quality of friendlies and adequate preparations, Nigeria will shock the world come 2018.”
