Amidst bribery allegation, Diezani begs Nigerians
The embattled former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Allison-Madueke, has asked Nigerians to pray for her as she faces multi-million-pound allegations and charges of bribery and corruption in the United Kingdom.
Recall that the United Kingdom National Crime Agency (NCA) had charged her with receiving bribes in the form of cash, luxury goods, flights on private jets and the use of high-end properties in Britain in return for awarding oil contracts.

She allegedly took over £100,000 bribe while serving in former president Goodluck Jonathan’s administration between 2010 and 2015.
Speaking with members of the Nigerian community in the UK after the hearing on the fifth-floor courtroom, Diezani was quoted as saying: “I need prayers. Please pray for me.”
