Amotekun apprehends notorious kidnapper, rapist
The state security structure in Ondo, Amotekun, at the weekend apprehended notorious kidnapper and rapist, Ibrahim Sanni, who rapes kidnapped victims to satisfy his sexual emotion.
The Amotekun State Commander in Ondo, Adetunji Adeleye, had revealed that Sanni has been involved in numerous kidnappings for ransom in the state. He disclosed that Sanni three members of his kidnapping team, gang-raped a girl after they had kidnapped and taken her to their den.
The Commandant stated that the Amotekun arrested Sanni after receiving intelligence from members of the Hausa community in the area.
According to Adeleye, “this suspect is highly notorious. He has participated in many cases of kidnapping in the state.
“I want to thank members of the Hausa community, who informed us when he returned. I want to appreciate them for their support”.
The Commandant assured that the Amotekun will sustain working with other security agencies to free the state from criminals.
Adeleye appealed that “efforts must be geared towards ensuring that the people are well-protected, in conjunction with other security agencies.” He frowned at the politicization of the fight against crimes in the country, making a case for cooperation in security operations.
