APC UK South-West Caucus congratulates Osoba @ 5

The All-Progressives Congress (APC) UK South-West Caucus has congratulated Chief Olusegun Osoba on his 85th birth anniversary celebration, describing his political consistency and impactful career path as a rare blessing to mankind.

Chief Osoba who clocked 85 on Monday 15 July,2024 was the one-time Daily Times editor and former chairman of the governing board of the Nigerian Institute of Journalism.
In a congratulatory message jointly signed by the All-Progressives Congress (APC) UK South-West Caucus Chairman Hon Andrew Taiwo and the Secretary Mr Ayodele Adigun, the group commended the former governor of Ogun state from May 1999 to May 2003 for his enviable legacies of unity, unwavering commitment to the projection of Omoluabi ethos and unflinching cultural renaissance drive.

The caucus added that the elder statesman-Chief Osoba the Akinrogun of Egbaland has greatly impacted mankind right from journalistic foray that started wayback in the 60’s, till when he was elected Governor of Ogun state at two different times as destiny crafted it.

“Chief Olusegun Osoba deserves all the encomiums and accolades showered on him on account of his 85th birthday celebration and even much more, owing to his tenacity in pursuit of whatever he believes in.

“A progressive in-to-to that is who Akinrogun is, a very amiable, courageous, blunt, charismatic and forward-looking chieftain of our great party-APC.

“He is a rallying point, focused and passionate about ensuring a united polity in Nigeria and the whole of Southwest in particular, he has really brought his wealth of experience as a developmental journalist to bear in all he does.

The caucus in the same vein extends its felicitation message to the newly crowned Oba Owolabi Olakulehin the 43rd Olubadan of the ancient city of Ibadan,Oyo State.

In the message All-Progressives Congress (APC) UK South-West Caucus x-rayed how important the Olubadan stool is, being a confirmation that the great ancient city was established by warriors who made great impacts in their days, adding that this speaks volumes about the public interest that greeted the process to ensure its progression.

According to the caucus secretary Mr Ayodele Adigun, “Olubadan is a great monarch and we express our profound gratitude to God who made this possible for the newly coronated Oba to mount the stool of his ancestors, we pray for a successful reign void of turmoil and woes but filled with peace and great feat.”
