NCC pledges unwavering dedication to expanding connectivity
The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has pledged its unwavering dedication to expanding connectivity, particularly in underserved areas with a mansion to dismantle barriers to access.
Executive Vice Chairman/CEO of the Commission, Dr. Aminu Maida reiterated this commitment when the FINTECH Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Ade Bajomo paid him a courtesy visit at his office in Abuja.
Dr. Maida echoed the transformative power of connectivity not just for the financial sector but across various economic domains.
“Our commitment is to broaden connectivity and dismantle barriers that impede service excellence,” Dr. Maida affirmed, highlighting the NCC’s ongoing efforts to ensure the sustainability and growth of the industry.

During the meeting, the association unveiled an ambitious vision: to transform Nigeria into the fintech epicenter of Africa, with aspirations of achieving global prominence in the industry. Ade Bajomo highlighted the crucial role of partnering with the NCC to achieve this goal, emphasizing that strong connectivity is essential for driving financial innovation and inclusion.
“Strong connectivity fuels financial innovation and inclusion,” Bajomo stated, shedding light on the future where collaboration and robust networks empower communities and drive progress.
The meeting, held last week, underscored the increasing collaboration between financial technology innovators and regulatory bodies, aiming to foster a robust digital economy in Nigeria.
This meeting marks a significant step in strengthening the synergy between fintech innovators and regulatory authorities, setting a course for Nigeria to become a leading hub for financial technology in Africa and beyond.
