Protesters demand ban on GMO products in Nigeria
Protesters of Genetically Modified Organism (GMO) have intensified demand for ban on GMO food in Nigeria.
The protesters emphasized the need to protect food produced in Nigeria and the national sovereignty of the country with the ban on GMO.
The anti-GMO forces in Nigeria argued that “GMO seeds are sterile. You CANNOT replant them. You will always have to buy seeds from the merchants.”
The protesters also contend that GMO farms cross pollinate and sterilize natural farms, leading to the real famine the country is running away from.
They also argue that “transgenic and drought tolerant crops rely on Chemicals that find their way into human diet and many cancer and tumor cases and connected to them.”
The protesters, accordingly, highlight, @pshegs
“We must #BanGMOImmediately in Nigeria if we are interested in protecting our food and national sovereignty from transnational vandals who use Neocolonialism to impoverish Nations.
1. GMO seeds are sterile. You CANNOT replant them. You will always have to buy seeds from the merchants. The day the merchant says, ‘No Seed’ until you legalize LGBT nko?
2. GMO farms cross pollinate and sterilize your natural farms, leading to the real famine we are running from.
3. Transgenic and drought tolerant crops rely on Chemicals that find their way into your diet and many cancer and tumor cases and connected to them.
4. GMO farms will put our local farmers out of jobs. You can only practice mono cropping on large portions of land. Who can afford this?
5. It is an act of terrorism to cultivate GMO in Russia.
6. GMO is a bioweapon. Reject it!”
