Atiku submits petition against Tinubu’s victory at Presidential Election Tribunal
The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 general elections, Atiku Abubakar, has submitted petition to the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal, challenging the declaration of Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as winner of the February 25 president election.
Atiku in the petition marked: CA/PEPC/03/2023, dated March 20, identified the INEC, Tinubu, his running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima, and the APC as the 1st to 4th respondents.
Peter Obi, candidate of the Labour Party (LP), had earlier petitioned the Presidential Election Tribunal demanding an order on INEC to withdraw Certificate of Return issued to Tinubu of the APC.
