Bandits burn Zamfara Speaker’s house, destroy Magarya community
Bandits have intensified their violent activities in Zamfara State as the military onslaught persists. The bandits burnt the residence of the Speaker of Zamfara State House of Assembly when they invaded Magarya Community in Zurmi Local Government Area of the state.
The Speaker of the Zamfara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Nasiru Muazu, lost his residence in the festival of fire that was celebrated by the bandits while invading the community.
Chairman of the House Committee on Security and Prosecution of Bandits in Zamfara State, Abdullahi Shinkafi, acknowledging the destruction of the community, narrated that the bandits invaded Magarya community in anger of the ongoing offensive of the military against the bandits in the various forests.
The House Committee Chairman, Abdullahi Shinkafi visited the community to assessment extent of damage and the security situation. He emphasized the need to deploy more security operatives to the community to protect the people.
