Bandits invade local communities, kill 1, kidnap 14 in Katsina
Bandits, engaging in separate attacks, invaded three local communities in Sabuwa Local Government Area, Katsina State, killing one person and kidnapping 14 others.
The bandits were said to have invaded the three communities at about 1.00am on Tuesday. The communities were identified as Yakkaka in Gazari ward, Yallagwada in Maibakko ward and Maiturmi in Rafin-Iwa ward.
It was highlighted that the bandits kidnapped seven persons at Yarkaka village, six at Yallagwada village and one woman at Maiturmi village.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Katsina State Command, ASP Abubakar Sadiq, was said to have acknowledged the terrorists operations on Wednesday.
The PPRO was cited to have said: “Yes, we have received the report and we are making progress, we are making effort in trying to fish out the criminal elements and take necessary actions.”
