Bandits sustain siege in Kaduna, shot Village Head dead in Dogon Daji
Bandits have continued to lay siege in Kaduna State, giving Governor Nasir El-Rufai sufficient crisis to contend with in the state. The bandits have continued to defy all security responses and network in Kaduna State, and continued with the onslaught of innocent citizens.
The bandits at the weekend shot the Village Head of Dogon Daji community, Sanga Local Government Area, Kaduna State, Mallam Anja, at close range, killing him in cold blood in his residence.
The bandits had invaded the residence of the Village Head, overwhelming his grounds men, and shot him dead at close range.
The Kaduna State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, had acknowledged the invasion and killing, disclosing that the state government had commenced investigation into the killing to unravel the perpetrators of the heinous act. The Commissioner did not give further details on what the state government intends to do with the findings of the investigation, essentially, when there have been numerous invasions, killings, and kidnappings by the bandits in the state before the weekend incident.
However, Governor Nasir El-Rufai, who had drawn a battleline with the bandits, even when he does not control the police or army, was said to had expressed sadness over killing of the village head by bandits and prayed for the repose of his soul.
The governor had also sent his condolences to the family of the deceased, and the entire community of Dogon Daji over the brutal killing.
