Bianca Ojukwu loses APGA senatorial primary election
Barrister Bianca Ojukwu, wife of late Odimmegwu Chukwuemeka Ojukwu, founder and leader of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, lost the APGA senatorial primary election to contest the general elections in 2019 to represent Anambra South District in the National Assembly. Bianca lost the primary election to Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu. Ukachukwu got 211 votes to beat Bianca Ojukwu who get 177 votes, winning with a margin of 34 votes
National Daily gathered that violence erupted during the APGA primary election for Anambra South Senatorial District, causing disruption of the process. Hired gunman were said to have invaded the venue of the Primary election, shooting into the air and dispersing the crowd. The Police were said to have intervened to restore order.
