Bird wearing mysterious ring drops dead in Ondo community

A bird with a cipher ring dropped off the sky at Badore, Iju Odo, Okitipupa, Odo during the weekend. Residents rushed out to see, and have been offering different explanations of incident.

Some said the bird, with its grey plumage, identified as an eagle, was demonic because of its cipher ring on one of its legs.

The ring’s inscription was written in a Chinese-like language.

The superstitious said the ‘awodi’ was a witch’s bird, and was brought down by higher powers.

Others, however, believed the bird had probably moved from another country.
