Boys arrested for kidnapping and killing their 13-yr-old neighbor for N100k ransom
Police operatives in Niger state have arrested two boys for kidnapping their 13-yr-old neighbor for N100k ransom & killing him after recognizing them
According to a statement by the spokesperson of the Niger State police command, the suspects, Usman Sabiu, 22, & Nafiu Umar, 18: were arrested on July 30, following a report of a missing person.
On 30/07/2022 at about 1400hrs, based on a report of missing person that one Yasir Salisu, 13, of Hayin-Nasarawa, Tafa LGA has been missing since on 29/07/2022. Police operatives attached to Tafa Division on a reasonable suspicion arrested the following two suspects; Usman Sabiu & Nafiu Umar.
During a rigorous & painstaking interrogation, Usman Sabiu confessed to have conspired with Nafiu Umar & abducted the missing person to the resident of Nafiu with the intention of collecting one hundred thousand naira ransom from the victim’s father
