Breach of contract: Davido, Pinnick settle out of court
Singer Davido has reached an agreement to settle out of court over the breach of contract lawsuit filed against him by the Amaju Pinnick-led Brownhill Investment Company Limited.
Recall that in October 2023, Pinnick, the former president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), filed a lawsuit against Davido, and Davido Music Worldwide (DMW), his music label, at the high court in Effurun, Delta.
The National Daily gathered that both parties agreed to settle the matter out of court — to which the high court in Delta granted their request on Thursday, March 21.
As part of the consent judgment entered in the suit filed against him, Davido also agreed to within seven days of execution of the terms of the settlement, pay the sum of N30 million to the claimant, being a part contribution to the claimant’s outstanding legal fees in this suit.
As part of the out-of-court settlement, the defendant agreed to perform live at this year’s ‘Warri Again’ concert slated for October 4, 2024.
