England team boss Gareth Southgate has finally named his national World Cup squad today as 26 Three Lions stars will fly out to Qatar to participate in the controversial major tournament this winter.

England’s 26-strong World Cup squad was announced today as Gareth Southgate after initially revealing who made the cut.

With their Group B opener coming just 11 days after the squad is named, at a tournament that has been unceremoniously wedged into the middle of the season, the England manager is unlikely to spring any major surprises.

And just like Rashford,, Leicester City’s James Maddison’s fine form at Kings Power Stadium was also enough to get the attacking midfielder selected, while striker Callum Wilson who has caught the eye at Newcastle will also be making the trip to Qatar.
