BSU reportedly suspends all 200-600L medical students for staging a protest
The management of Benue State University (BSU) in Makurdi, the state’s capital, has reportedly suspended all 200-600L medical students for staging a protest in front of the State Government House.
It was gathered that the students had stormed the Government House on Wednesday, October 2023, to register their displeasure over the deplorable state of their hostels, lack of adequate lecture halls, among others.
In videos currently circulating online, the students could be seen being chased and even injured by thugs. They were also denied entry into the Government House.
Reacting to the development, the institution’s management in a memo on Monday, October 30, reportedly suspended all the students involved for a month.
