Buhari saddened as Babangida loses 2 sisters, in-law, kids in accident
President Muhammadu Buhari has sent condolences to a former Deputy Speaker of Babangida Nguroje who lost two of his sisters, Hajiya Hadiza and Zainab, and son-in-law along with four kids in a road accident.
According to a statement signed by presidential spokesman Garba Shehu o Sunday, Buhari was stumped for words to describe such multiple deaths in a single car accident in which family members perished.
He said he got the news of the tragedy “with deep shock and grief, and wish to express my heartfelt sympathy and solidarity with you at this trying and painful moment”.
Accidents on Nigerian major roads have claimed thousands of live owing to bad condition, human errors, road construction, and criminal activities.
