Carabao Cup: Guardiola reacts as West Ham eliminates Man City
Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola, has insisted that his side will come back stronger in next season’s Carabao Cup.
Guardiola said this while reacting to Man City’s Carabao Cup round of 16 defeat against West Ham United on Wednesday night.
West Ham defeated Man City 5-3 on penalties following a 0-0 draw after normal time.
Reacting after the game, Guardiola said at his post-match press conference, “An incredible run has finished (but) we finished in a good way.
“We played in a really good way, creating chances against a team who defended deep.
“On penalties, they were better. Congratulations to West Ham.
“Next year we will be back.”
