Catholic priest, Chief Imam participate in #EndSARS protests in Cross River
Reverend Father Emmanuel Bekomson, a Catholic priest, and the Chief Imam of Calabar Central Mosque, Ustaz Kabir Olowolaiyemo, on Friday joined hundreds of #EndSARS protesting youths kicking against police brutality and extra-judicial killings in Calabar, Cross River State.
The Priest and Imam were with the protesters at the Millennium Park Roundabout where they expressed their demands for justice, freedom and comprehensive police reforms.
Bekomson and Olowolaiyemo were gathered to have said that they joined the #ENDSARS protest to support the demand for good governance in the country, particularly, citizen friendly police.
The protesters in Calabar blocked major roads in the city, including the popular Watt Market Area.
