China refuses to condemn Russia invasion of Ukraine
China has refused to condemn Russia over the invasion of Ukraine in the early hours of Thursday. Chinese authorities on Friday said the conflict have complicated historical background. China traced the conflict in Ukraine to NATO’s undermining of Russian security in Eastern Europe. China, however, called on all parties to the conflict to end hostilities.
China at the UN emergency summit on Friday disagreed with the resolution deploring Russia over invasion of Ukraine, reiterating that NATO encroached on Russia in the eastern bloc.
Venezuela, Belarus, and few eastern European countries expressed to be on the side of Russia.
China is the world biggest buyer of wheat from Russia and boosts the Russian economy with high volume of trade.
Meanwhile, North Korea is yet to issue a statement on the Russia invasion of Ukraine. The North Korean leader is likely to take the step of China on the conflicts.
NATO on Friday resolved to deploy wars ship, fighter jets with pilots, and tanks for land operations to defend Ukraine.
