Coach Ngozi Elechi congratulation Yobe Desert Stars fans
Yobe Desert Warriors coach Ngozi Elechi has revealed that he wishes to appreciate the fans of the Damaturu club for standing by him during his trying period, National Daily gathered.
The former Go Round FC coach was battling for his life when after he was involved in a fatal road accident around the time he suffered a personal bereavement and had been issued a three-match ultimatum to halt the poor run of the club in the NPFL.
“I want to use this medium to salute the good people of Damaturu who stood by me through my trying period when I played six matches without a win, it was not easy I must honestly say, that same period I lost my mum and i survived a fatal accident that almost claimed my life,” he explained.
“It was really a difficult time for me, but right now, i have put all my trials behind me, i have moved on.”
Yobe Desert Stars turned back visiting Go Round FC Sunday with coach Elechi in charge.
“I am most grateful to God for giving us a resounding victory after I lost six matches, it was a big relief for us,” he revealed.
“If we can continue in this manner, we have a home game again on Wednesday against Abia Warriors and hopefully we will be able to pick the three points to push further up the table.”
