Comrade Leo Obasi celebrates Tinubu’s Supreme Court victory
… Enjoins others to work with him.
The President of APC Ethnic Youth, Lagos State, Comrade Leo Obasi have congratulate President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his victory at the supreme court on Thursday in Abuja.
Comrade Obasi in a press release stated that he joined the numerous Nigerians across the globe to worthily congratulate the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Nigeria, His Excellency,Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his resounding victory at the Supreme Court, Abuja,the Nation’s Capital. Obasi described the victory as the best for Democracy as it is the time to further strengthen and unify the country .
Recall that, the Apex Court on Thursday,26th October 2023 dismissed the prayers of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Labour Party (LP) Presidential Candidates, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Mr Peter Obi respectively. The duo had challenged the victory of Mr President,His Excellency,Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the 25th February,2023 and sought to overturn the declaration of the lndependent National Electoral Commission,(INEC). The Apex Court however, dismissed their prayers holding that,new evidence could not be introduced at the stage of the appeal.
Meanwhile ,the APC Ethnic Youth Comrade Leo Obas ,he enmarked that,the judicial system has once again,proven itself in tackling disputes that arise from the general elections on February 25, as he also noted, that the finality of the Apex Court ruling on the disputes regards the 2023 Presidential elections was the resolution to the questions that surrounded the election which would bring about, focus in confronting other challenges facing Nigeria’s electoral exercise.
Comrade Obasi (jp) further commended the two main opposition Candidates in the elections for deepening the Country’s electoral jurisprudence by testing their complaints at the Court of law which the Seven-(7)-Member Court Judges ruled as lacking the merit to be established, declared by the Supreme Court judge,Uche Okoro.
He said that,
“the ruling will now allow the President to concentrate on the governance in the interest of Nigerians. The Youth Leader described the election litigation as a strength for Nigeria’s democracy and urged the litigants to cooperate with the President in moving the Country forward as well as harmonizing our political affiliations”
The Youth Leader enjoined politicians to prioritize the interest of Nigeria by teaming up with Mr President in his renewed hope agenda.
The APC Ethnic Youth in Lagos State comprises of the Ndigbo, Arewa, and North Central Youth bodies who are firm believers of the APC and renewed hope of Mr President.
