Confusion over arrest of peter Obi loyalist in Lagos robbery

Police authorities in Lagos have confirmed the arrest of one Alabi Quadiri among gangsters that robbed Amukoko Lagos State residents early this year. The confirmation of arrest of Alabi Quadiri believed to be the young lad that stood before the convoy of the presidential candidate of Labour Party (LP) came into the open after a lawyer Mr inibehe Effiiong went on online publication tagged ” NIGERIA HAS HAPPENED TO ALABI QUADIRI” the Lawyer in the publication seek compassion from the global community and federal government to effect the release of the suspect and other harden criminals from the offence they committed after attacking residents of Amukoko early this year. On January 25 2025 gangsters numbering over 200 invaded Ifelodun Local Council Development Area robbing house to house and breaking shops with residents loosing huge sums of money and valuables Worth millions of naira.
Investigation by our correspondent reveals that the incident occurred few days rival gangs in the area clashed over the money they shared during Christmas carol organized in the area for residents. It was gathered from investigation that cult groups existed in the area namely pako boys , canal boys among others. Investigation revealed that no fewer than five suspects are currently standing trial in Apapa magistrate court their trial was linked to the clashed among rival gangs that claimed the live of a suspected cult member named Kamal Suleiman AKA (SARS) and the robbery incident that occurred on 25 January 2025.
Investigators prosecuting the suspects urged the lawyer to stop linking 2023 politics with crime case committed in 2025. It was gathered that most those involved in the January 25 robbery have fled the area as Lagos police trail the gangs. Meanwhile the Community Development Area of Shette Olu Oke Oja and it’s environs of Amukoko in Ifelodun Local Council Development Area Lagos State have appeal the state commissioner of police (CP)Moshood Jimoh to step up security in the area.
The community commend the effort of the Amukoko police Division for their bravery in fighting criminals in the area.
