Corporal Nwachukwu dismissed for raping Abia Poly student
The Abia police command has taken a step further in the quest for justice after identifying the suspect in the rape of an 18-year-old Abia Polytechnic lady two weeks ago.
Corporal Chinedu Nwachukwu, a cop attached to a RRS team, unlawfully arrested the lady, detained, and later raped her, triggering a public outcry.
CP Janet Agbede then ordered an investigation which led to an orderly room trial. Nwachukwu was indicted.
The corporal has since been dismissed, and will face trial for rape, extortion, and other related offences.
