The newly sworn-in council chairmen have rolled out their plans for better development of their localities, having taken the reins of power, qualitative education, dynamic healthcare system and provision of other basic social amenities tops their priority.
Mr. Moyosore Ogunlewe the new Chairman Kosofe Local Government in his own mapped out strategy,plans to leverage on existing model of governance note that the youths need much more than material empowerment.
“There are lots of jobs to be done,we will take it step by step go through the files where the last administration stopped and take up from there.
“We shall take serious on security,two we need to start to do more youth empowerment, by engaging them to see what their problems are, it is not easy been a youth, to just say youth empowerment buying things for them is not the way forward.
 “We first need to engage them, Some of them just need a token to start a business and for me we are going to be doing a lot watch the space and I can assure you that we do more.”
Mayor Dele Osinowo the reelected Chairman Agboyi Ketu LCDA notes that his is a continuity of the good works previously initiated in the council area.
“We have to continue from where we stopped we have actually tried our best and we will continue to do more.
“Agboyi Ketu deserves the best and we shall give them the best and that is what I am offering.”
Mr. Babatunde Johnson the reelected Chairman of Orile Agege LCDA in his own take, notes that education takes the centre spread of his administration this time around.
“This time around we are going to concentrate more on education, all our schools must have good structures.
“They must have good writing materials and teaching aids and I am telling you all the school complexes will have sick bay,where when any of the children are sick you take them there for proper attention.
“You know with the advent of COVID-19 pandemic all hands must be on deck in the health sector so we are bringing this with all our health institutions in Orile Agege LCDA.
“I feel elated and great because God has been so faithful,it is a great departure from what happened four years ago, that the tension was so high but this time around God made everything so easy.
“So we give him all the honour for this great honour he has done on us. Orile Agege should expect more roads, Infrastructure, they should expect more educational facilities, healthcare delivery system and empowerment.
On what he expected from the people, the council boss harps on their civic responsibilities to facilitate delivery of good governance.
“They should cooperate with the government,pay their taxes and rates,they should shun violence. Violence does not solve issues but when we cohabit in peace things will work out for us.” Said Johnson.
His Vice, Hon. Kafilat Pedro reaffirms her resolve to carry along the women in the delivery of good governance.
“We won’t relent we will bring in more women to join me and continue the good work as in time past
The Mosan Okunola LCDA, reelected council boss Princess Adebisi Adebajo, in her own blue print for the new administration,  stated the fact that she was overwhelmed by the renewed mandate accorded her,promising better deal more than the previous.
“It is going to be continuity from where I stopped by the special grace of God and I am going to ensure I do more than the previous administration.
“We all know we are the good manager of home and offices, our women will be well empowered through periodic trainings so that they can be employers of labour and they would be well carried along in my administration.” Said Princess Adebajo.
Also speaking at the event,the Vice Chairman of Agege Local Government, who happens to be former SLG Mr. Gbenga Abiola in the previous administration notes the fact that the welfare of the people is a task that must be done.
“This is to bring governance closer to the people,we have been given the mandate of the people to return back in terms of development and what have you.
“It is more work for us,we are going back to make sure that through the sincerity of purpose we deliver the dividend democracy to the people with an open door policy.
“The people just need to let us know where the pain is and we will be there to fill that pain with joy so as far as I’m concerned let the people wake up.
“We need coexisting relationship between the government and the people, so that we can deliver the dividend of democracy to them.”
