Wike backs Buhari’s iron grip on Igboho, Kanu
Rivers Governor Nyesom Wike has insisted God makes no mistake bringing people of diverse cultures under one nation.
He therefore urged Nigeria must be protected against violent secessionist agitation.
The PDP said this while COAS Gen Farouk Yahaya made an operational visit to him July 27.
President Muhammadu Buhari has clamped in detention the leader of outlaw IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, whose group has been waging war against federal security agencies and institutions.
The Yoruba militant secessionist Sunday Adeyemo Igboho is also trapped in Benin Republic detention after he made an unsuccessful attempt to flee after being declared wanted in Nigeria.
Wike’s position is the same as all his colleagues’ in the south.
The 17 governors insisted Nigeria should remain one, thereby stifling the secessionists any political backing.
