Why Court of Appeal judgment upheld PDP candidates’ list of Orbih-led Legacy group in Edo
The Court of Appeal sitting in Benin City, Edo State, in its judgment, upheld the Edo PDP candidates list of the legacy group led by the PDP National Vice-Chairman, South-South, of Dan Orbih.
The Appeal Court in the lead judgement delivered by Justice Tunde Oyebamiji Awotoye in a 23-page statement, upturned and struck out the judgment on the suit no FHC/C5/78/2022, filed by the PDP faction led by Governor Godwin Obaseki, which held the Governor’s list as the authentic list of the PDP.
The Court of Appeal in the lead judgement delivered by Tunde Oyebamiji Apotome, on Legacy group suit, upheld 4 of the 6 issues raised by the Legacy group candidates, declaring that the Appeal had merit and was, therefore, granted.
