Court remands man, 18, for defiling 15-year-old girl
The Chief Magistrates Court in Badagry, Lagos State, on Friday remanded a man, Daniel Sosu, 18 years old, facing prosecution for defiling a 15-year-old girl.
Sosu is facing charges of defilement and indecent touch.
The Prosecution Counsel, ASP. Ikem Ukor disclosed at the court that Daniel Sosu committed the offence on August 13, at Tanko I Area, Ajara, Badagry, Lagos.
The Prosecution Counsel argued that the offence contravened the provisions of sections 261 and 172 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
Daniel Sosu pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The Chief Magistrate, Patrick Adekomaiya, however, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N300, 000 with two sureties in like sum.
The Chief Magistrate, therefore, adjourned the case to September 21, for mention.
