Cult clash claims 3 lives, scores injured in Ondo
The Police have confirmed three people dead over clashes between two rival cult groups in Ondo Town, Ondo East Local Government Area, Ondo State.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Command, DSP Olushola Ayanlade, in Akure, disclosed on Wednesday that the clash started on Monday evening and continued on Tuesday, saying that many people were also injured.
According to the PPRO, “There was a cult clash on Monday and yesterday. Meanwhile, this morning, the state Commissioner of Police is having an on-the-spot assessment of the situation.
“Three people have been confirmed dead, which we believe they were related and involved in the cult clash, while some other individuals were injured.
“Our men have been deployed and we encourage members of the public to go about their lawful business without fear and panic.” (NAN)
