The Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP) has declared support the All Progressives Congress (APC) over the zoning of presiding officers of the two Chambers of the 10th National Assembly. The CUPP spokesman argued that “if for any reason anyone is planning on opposing the candidature of Senator Godswill Akpabio, other ranking Senators from the South like Orji Kalu, Osita Izunaso and Patrick Ndubueze should be considered rather than another region entirely”.
Ugochinyere disclosed that on interaction with other elected lawmakers for the 10th National Assembly, there was consensus conclusion that nominees for the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abass and Ben Kalu, are the right candidates for the speaker and deputy speaker offices.
Ugochinyere also disclosed that 63 newly elected members of the opposition parties are in alliance with the endorsement of the APC nominees for the House leadership.
