The now former Amuwo Odofin Local Government Chairman Engineer Valentine Buraimoh from whom Prince Lanre Sanusi took the baton of leadership having emerged victorious at the July 12, 2025 council election had allegedly left behind a debt profile of N2.2billion.
According to a reliable source who pleaded anonymity, the former Chairman Engineer Buraimoh unscrupulously bloated the debt profile of the council with the construction of a highly deficient edifice.
The former council boss was said to have often claimed that the capital intensive gigantic building project he embarked upon, named after President Ahmed Bola Tinubu (ABAT) had hitherto debarred rehabilitation of many roads and several other well meaning developmental projects in the locality.
It was however, discovered that Buraimoh left a debt profile of N2.2 billion unpaid to contractors executing the project just as the widely acclaimed edifice has no water, and it’s yet to be furnished likewise the building is not having any form of electrification whatsoever.
