In the interview, Ba shed some light on his time at the London club and also revealed how Jackson can, despite the strong competition he’s going to get at Chelsea, be the main man for the club.

When asked what he thought about the club being linked with a move to sign another striker, and whether or not Jackson should be worried about the links with a striker, the veteran striker had some really strong words of advice for the young striker.

Demba Ba’s response on if Jackson should be worried about Chelsea linked with another striker:

“At Chelsea, you should expect that in every transfer window. You should expect somebody to come in and challenge you. If they bring someone like Vlahovic and he doesn’t succeed, they will bring another one.

“Don’t feel like you’re safe at Chelsea because they get rid of a person that is not successful to bring somebody else.

“What I mean is that you should always expect to have competition in every area of the field. And that will keep you on your toes too.

“Jackson has had a good start, he should keep doing what he’s doing right now. Whether somebody comes in or not, just focus on you and believe in the things that have brought you this far.

“If he does it for a year or two then he’s earned the trust and the club will now view him as the main man and someone they can build on for their goals.”

For someone who has literally walked the path Jackson is currently on, these are really strong words of advice that the striker should adhere to as he gets set to begin his adventure with the London club.
