Tin Can Island Port Command generates N347.9 Billion Q1 2025
: The Tin Can Island Port Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) generated N347.9 billion in revenue in the first quarter of 2025, surpassing last year’s figures by 12.6%.
The Tin Can Island Port Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has reported a total revenue generation of N347.9 billion in the first quarter of Q1 2025, surpassing the N304 billion generated in the same period of 2024 by 12.6%.
Comptroller Frank Onyeka, through the command’s Public Relations Officer, Superintendent of Customs Oscar Ivara, shared this achievement with newsmen in Lagos on Monday.
Onyeka credited the command’s success to the implementation of Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adeniyi’s policy of consolidation, collaboration, and innovation, which has significantly improved operational efficiency.
According to Onyeka, in January 2025, the command generated N116.4 billion, representing a 24% increase from the N88.4 billion recorded in January 2024.
February 2025 saw a revenue generation of N103.2 billion, reflecting a slight 2.9% increase over the N100.2 billion earned in February 2024.

In March 2025, the command achieved a remarkable N128.2 billion, which is 10.3% higher than the N115.1 billion generated in the same month of the previous year.
“The total revenue generated for the first quarter of 2025 is N347.93 billion, a significant 12.6% increase from the N304 billion earned in Q1 2024,” Onyeka stated.
He emphasized the need for stakeholders to make more accurate and honest declarations in their operations to further streamline cargo clearance processes and facilitate trade.
Onyeka also pledged continued engagement with stakeholders to ensure ongoing improvements across the board.
